NEMA distributes relief items to Zamfara disaster victims

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) had taken action by distributing food and non-food items to individuals affected by fire disasters and vulnerable individuals in Zamfara.

Alhaji Aliyu Kafindangi, the Head of Sokoto Zonal Office for NEMA, personally distributed the relief materials to the victims on Saturday in Gusau.

Kafindangi emphasized that the purpose of the donation was to mitigate the impact of the disasters on those affected.

He stated, “The Federal Government is present to support the victims, demonstrate kindness, and provide assistance to the vulnerable households that have been affected by these humanitarian challenges.”

Alhaji Abubakar Nakwada, the Secretary to the State Government, expressed his appreciation to NEMA for its continuous support to the disaster victims in the state.

He recognized the gesture as particularly timely considering the hardships faced by communities due to insecurity.

Nakwada also mentioned that the state governor has been actively engaging with security agencies and other stakeholders to find lasting solutions to the security challenges afflicting the state.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Murtala Musa and Aisha Abdullahi expressed their gratitude to the federal government for the generous gesture. They assured that the items would be used wisely and efficiently.
