Egypt is currently hosting the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES 2024) from February 19-21, marking a significant gathering focused on the intricacies of energy transition, security, and decarbonization.
This international conference serves as a platform to delve into the challenges and opportunities inherent in these sectors while also showcasing cutting-edge technologies and innovations within the oil, gas, and energy domains.
Commencing on Monday, February 19, 2024, the conference carries the theme “Driving Energy Transition, Security, and Decarbonisation”.
With a comprehensive program comprising over 80 sessions and featuring 300 speakers, the event aims to address six pivotal topics: energy security, decarbonisation, digitalisation, innovation, investment, and human capital.
These discussions encompass both regional and global perspectives, exploring pertinent issues and opportunities.
Attended by numerous officials and specialists, the conference received a warm welcome from Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, who underscored the significance of investing in advanced technologies within the energy sector.
Minister Tarek El-Molla, Egypt’s Petroleum Minister, emphasized the nation’s commitment to embracing hydrogen and other clean energy sources.
Recognizing the transformative potential of such initiatives, El-Molla highlighted their role in shaping the future trajectory of Egypt’s energy industry and enhancing human resources within the sector.
Furthermore, Minister El-Molla advocated for increased support and flexible funding mechanisms to aid African nations in achieving a just and secure energy transition.
This call to action underscores Egypt’s proactive stance in fostering regional cooperation and sustainability across the African continent.
