Dangote Cement Clinches NatureNews Environment Sustainability Award

Dangote Cement, Nigeria and Africa’s cement manufacturing giant has been declared the winner Environmental Sustainability 2023 NatureNews HEAD Award.

The cement company beats other shortlisted nominees for the award owing to its relentless commitment to net-zero carbon emissions at its plants in Nigeria including other nine African countries.

In the years past, Dangote Cement has been rendering different support to various communities at local, state and national level towards cushioning effects of climate change and environment sustainability.

The company made remarkable strides on environment sustainability particularly in using alternative fuel at its plants in Ibeshe, Ogun State, and other cement plants within and outside Nigeria.

The unflinching support by Dangote Cement company to its host across different communities, geo-political zones, and governments including provision of job opportunity for large number of unemployed Nigerians, men, women, the youth including adults responsible for its emergence as 2023 NatureNews Environment Sustainability Award.
