The founder of TEXEM UK, Dr. Alim Abubakre has challenged journalists to focus on Planet sustainability in their reportage of the environment.
Dr. Abubakre, who is a UK-based University Don, made the call yestrday in his presentation at a two-day media workshop on Environmental Sustainability Reporting sponsored by Dangote Group.
The workshop which was attended by about 50 journalists from the print, broadcast and online media, was held at the Dangote Cement Academy, Obajana, Kogi State.

Dr. Abubakre emphasised that it is not enough for corporate organisations to focus on Profit and People Sustainability alone, adding that Planet sustainability is even a sine qua non for realising the other two.
He commended the Dangote Group for standing out in the area of capacity building for its staff and media.
Dr. Abubakre who urged other corporate giants to scale up their commitments to sustainability of the planet noted that they owe an obligation to make the earth better for future generations of their stakeholders.
