NiMet Releases Detailed Weather Forecast for May 6th to May 8th, Providing Crucial Insights

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has unveiled its latest weather forecast spanning from May 6th to May 8th, 2024, painting a varied picture of weather patterns across the nation during this period.

 

It stated that Monday, May 6th Northern States should expect sunny and hazy conditions in portions of Yobe, Jigawa, Kano, and Katsina states.

 

However, localized thunderstorms are predicted for parts of Kaduna, Bauchi, Zamfara, Kebbi, and Taraba states.

 

North Central Region should expect Cloud patches will intersperse with intervals of sunshine. Morning hours may see localized thunderstorms over areas including the Federal Capital Territory, Kwara, Benue, and Kogi states. Come afternoon and evening, anticipate localized thunderstorms across several states in the region.

 

Southern Region should expect Cloudy skies with intermittent sunshine are projected over inland and coastal states. There’s a likelihood of localized thunderstorms in the morning, with thunderstorms expected to sweep across various states later in the day.

 

Tuesday, May 7th Northern States to Anticipate sunny skies with occasional clouds during the morning.

 

However, localized thunderstorms are slated for later in the day, affecting parts of Kaduna, Taraba, Zamfara, and Kebbi states.

 

North Central Region: Cloudy conditions with intervals of sunshine are expected, with localized thunderstorms possible in the morning. By afternoon, several states in the region may experience these localized thunderstorms.

 

Southern Region: Cloudy skies with sunny breaks are on the forecast, with isolated thunderstorms possible in the morning. Thunderstorms are expected to sweep through various states later in the day.

Wednesday, May 8th:

 

Northern States: Look forward to a sunny atmosphere with patches of clouds in the morning.

 

However, localized thunderstorms are anticipated later in the day, impacting parts of Taraba and Kaduna states.

 

North Central Region: Cloudy skies will prevail in the morning, punctuated by intervals of sunshine. Expect localized thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening across the region.

 

Southern Region: Cloudy conditions are expected during the morning, with thunderstorms forecasted to cover the entire region later in the day.
