Lions Club Nigeria Launches ‘Hunger Relief Project’ Across the South West

The Lions Club International District 404B4 Nigeria has recently unveiled an ambitious plan to provide palliative support to those in need through their “Hunger Relief Project” for the 2023-2024 Lions Service Year.

Mr. Samson Abodunrin, the pioneering District Governor for the newly bifurcated District 404B4, shares that the initiative aims to assist a minimum of 15,000 families within the region, thereby alleviating suffering and fostering positive community change.

Abodunrin emphasizes that the project specifically targets areas grappling with hunger in Ibadan, Otta, Abeokuta, and Lagos regions. This significant initiative constitutes a pivotal component of the district’s agenda for the year and spans across 10 regions.

Notably, traditional rulers, community leaders, and associations will actively participate in this initiative, reinforcing the community-based approach.

The plan encompasses providing essential food support to 6,000 families and nourishing 9,000 school children across diverse locations.

Furthermore, the district is steadfast in its commitment to empower youth and widows by imparting vocational skills training and furnishing them with the necessary tools and equipment for their success.
