Norrenberger to develop 1,000 hectares of farmland in kano for food security boost

Norrenberger Financial Group has unveiled plans to cultivate 1,000 hectares of farmland in Kano State to support increased food production and strengthen Nigeria’s food security.
The Managing Director, Anthony Edeh, announced this during the opening of the company’s new office in Kano on Wednesday.
The federal government has granted approval for the agricultural project, which is part of Norrenberger’s broader strategy to enhance financial inclusion and literacy in Northern Nigeria.
The Group plans to invest over N5 billion in the region.
Edeh emphasized that the initiative will also create jobs, with the company expected to employ at least 1,500 people at the new Kano office.
So far, 250 employees have been engaged across various sectors, including insurance, pensions, and asset management.
“We are committed to providing the people of Kano with improved financial access and meaningful employment opportunities,” Edeh stated.
Pabina Yinkere, Managing Director of Norrenberger Asset Management, highlighted the importance of extending simplified financial services to underserved populations in Kano.
The inauguration event was attended by notable figures such as Alhaji Dahiru Bara’u Mangal, Chairman of Mangal Industries and special guest of honour; Alhaji Bukar Goni, Chairman of International Energy Insurance; and Dr. Emomotimi Agama, Director General of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
