Lasaco partners FG to boost agriculture, food security

Lasaco Assurance Plc is partnering with the federal government to strengthen Nigeria’s agricultural sector and improve food security.

During a courtesy visit to the Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Dr. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, Lasaco presented its Cooperative Insurance Scheme tailored to farmers and agricultural cooperatives.

The scheme aims to offer reliable risk coverage, financial stability, and sustainability for stakeholders in the sector.

Led by Managing Director/CEO Razzaq Abiodun, the Lasaco team emphasized their commitment to delivering accessible, customer-focused insurance products that address the real challenges faced by Nigerian farmers.

The minister welcomed the initiative, noting its potential to support government efforts in enhancing rural development, boosting food production, and fostering economic resilience.

The meeting also opened discussions on possible public-private partnerships to drive agricultural transformation.

With over 40 years of experience, Lasaco reaffirmed its role in promoting economic stability and protecting vulnerable communities through insurance.
