The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed four establishments in Ijora and Apapa over persistent breaches of environmental regulations despite repeated warnings and opportunities to comply.
The agency announced the enforcement on Thursday through a statement published on its official X account.
LASEPA said the affected establishments had received abatement notices and directives requiring them to correct identified environmental violations.
According to the agency, the facilities failed to implement the required corrective measures after being given several opportunities to comply.
The sealed establishments include Helmar Building Materials at 8 Ijora Causeway, Ijora, LASEPA stated.
The agency also listed Laprivad Nigeria Ltd., located behind Funky Yetty along Ijora Causeway, and Innocast Nigeria Ltd. on Saka Alao Street, Apapa, among the facilities shut.
Body Language Shipping and Cargo on Liverpool Road, Apapa, was also sealed during the enforcement exercise, LASEPA added.
LASEPA maintained that the action was taken after the establishments continued to violate environmental requirements despite previous interventions by the agency.
The agency said the enforcement forms part of its efforts to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and protect public health across Lagos.
