Heads of agencies and departments under the Ministry of the Maritime and Blue Economy have signed a performance bond with the Minister, Adegboyega Oyetola.
The pact is aimed at strengthening efficiency, proficiency and effectiveness for the overall development of the marine and blue economy sector.
The signing followed a two-day retreat organised by the ministry in Lagos, last week.
Oyetola’s spokesperson, Ismail Omipidan, who announced this via his X (formerly twitter) handle, noted that with this development, the ministry becomes the first to cascade the performance bond initially signed with President Bola Tinubu to its Directors and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs).
He wrote: “Today, after a stimulating stakeholders’ roundtable engagement with industry players and another two-day engaging and exciting retreat in Lagos, Directors and CEOs within the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, signed their performance bond with the minister, Adegboyega Oyetola CON.
“With this development, the ministry becomes the first to cascade the performance bond initially signed with President Bola Tinubu to its Directors and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs).
“The Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy is prepared and set to actualise its deliverables and contribute to the delivery of Mr President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.”
