Greaterworks Ventures Nigeria Ltd., in collaboration with the Nigerian Association of Agricultural Students (NAAS), University of Abuja Chapter, and the Poultry Farmers Forum, North Central Nigeria, has introduced the Seyi Tinubu Operation Back to Agriculture Initiative (SOBAI) to equip young people with practical agricultural skills.
The initiative aims to train hundreds of youths in poultry production, entrepreneurship and sustainable agribusiness, with the goal of helping participants establish businesses, create jobs and contribute to Nigeria’s agricultural development.
According to the organisers, SOBAI seeks to bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical agricultural experience by providing young people with skills that can support self-reliance and business development.
The programme also seeks to promote agriculture as a pathway to wealth creation, food security and national development, while encouraging young people to pursue legitimate livelihoods and contribute to reducing unemployment.
The organisers said the initiative is dedicated to honouring Seyi Tinubu and promoting youth participation in agribusiness.
Through partnerships with agricultural students and poultry farmers, SOBAI hopes to transform young people from job seekers into job creators and position agriculture as a viable contributor to economic growth.
The initiative’s commitment is centred on empowering youths, developing practical skills, creating opportunities and improving lives through agriculture.
“ Agriculture is beyond the classroom; it is an opportunity to build a better future,” the organisers said.
