Insufficient intake of water daily is bad for your health. It leads to dehydration, which could lead to further health challenges.

Dehydration is a drop in the normal level of water in the body. Dehydration can cause serious health issues.

Below are the side effects of not drinking enough water everyday:

Lowers energy level

Dehydration makes the energy level in the body to drop. This causes fatigue and drowsiness.

Higher risk of stroke

According to study in BMC Cardiovascular Disorders, not drinking enough water and being dehydrated can raise the risk of strokes and prolong recovery time.

Your metabolism naturally slows down when you’re thirsty and dehydrated.

Insufficient water in the body can lead to headaches and fatigue.

Causes weight gain

Drinking water can help you lose weight and lower water retention. Not drinking water can make you add a little weight.

Water is vital for healthy living as it has a lot of health benefits. In fact, our body system is made up of about 60% of water, which sends the message that water is much needed. As an adult it is advisable you take at least glasses of water daily to maintain a good health. So start drinking up now!
