Osun State government has expressed commitment in adopting modern livestock innovations to develop the state’s dairy and livestock sub-sectors.

The governor Ademola Adeleke made this statement after visiting a large dairy farm in Northern France and attending the world’s largest livestock summit in Clermont-Ferrand, France.

Describing the technological advancements in France’s livestock sector as “breathtaking,” Adeleke highlighted the use of high-tech processes and artificial intelligence in farming operations.

He expressed enthusiasm about integrating these innovations into Osun’s agricultural development strategy.

“Our attendance here is part of our commitment to entrenched agro-industrialization in Osun State,” Adeleke said in a statement released by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed.

Accompanied by the state’s Commissioner for Agriculture, Tola Faseru, the governor emphasised the importance of leveraging new technologies to boost Osun’s livestock and dairy production.

“We are open to partnerships for the adoption of new practices. The Commissioner for Agriculture engaged French partners on the details,” Adeleke added.

The governor also linked his efforts to the Federal Government’s new livestock development agenda, emphasising Osun’s readiness to embrace modern techniques to drive economic growth.

“We are in a hurry to transform Osun State,” he noted, highlighting his active role in fast-tracking progress across various sectors.
