NAFDAC urges for increased compliance of health safety in Bayelsa Water Factories

The National Agency For Food And Drugs Administration Control (NAFDAC), has urged water factories in Bayelsa state to increase their level of health safety compliance.
The state Director of NAFDAC, Mr. Ihekire Chucks, who announced this during the agency’s inspection tour of some table water companies in the state over the weekend.
He also urged the Association of Table Water Producers (ATWAP) to step up the level of health safety compliance in production process with NAFDAC for maximum performance.
According to him, table water companies in the state are complying in terms of treatment facility, UV light, Micro Filters, coding, Reverse Osmosis (RO) and other materials needed for production of table water in compliance with international standard specification, but they should sustain and improve on it.
ATWAP Chairman in Bayelsa State, Chris Ace Erefinyo, expressed happiness that NAFDAC was doing its best to ensure table water producers adhere to the standard and regulations guiding the industry.
