The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed 10 establishments across Lagos for persistent violations of environmental regulations.

The enforcement exercise, carried out on Wednesday, July 1, was announced by the agency on Thursday via its X handle. LASEPA said the action was in line with the Lagos State Government’s directive on strict compliance with environmental laws.

The affected establishments include Grandeur Meridian, Millennium Restaurant, O2 Exquisite Suites & Tower, Chirozz Hotel & Suites, House 7 Hotel, House 48, Exclusive Hotel, City Int’l Motel and Lasola (Spazio Bar), which were sealed over noise pollution and non-compliance with the agency’s directives.

Sabola Ventures Ltd. in Igando was also shut for operating without an effluent treatment plant and discharging untreated wastewater into public drains.

LASEPA General Manager, Dr Babatunde Ajayi, said the agency would continue to enforce environmental regulations to protect public health and the environment.

He urged residents and business owners to comply with environmental laws and adopt responsible practices to support a cleaner and more sustainable Lagos.
