Fire kills cleric, destroys houses in Jigawa

Several houses, food items and properties were destroyed as fire incident engulfed Kuka village in Kirikasamma local Government area of Jigawa State.

The fire killed a 29-year-old Islamic cleric

The Local Government Information officer, Sanusi Soro confirmed the incident to Daily Post

He said the fire which occurred suffocated Muhammad Ahmad, the cleric till the died and injured two other almajiris.

Meanwhile, another fire incident destroyed eight houses in Kadangare village in Birnin kudu local Government area of Jigawa State.

Kwangwara Ward councilor, Alhaji Sule Ubale confirmed the incident.

He said the source of the fire is unknown but that it destroyed all the houses, food items and livestocks in the area.

Ubale said two persons escaped death from the inferno.

He, therefore, called on the government, politicians and wealthy individuals to support the victims.
