The Board of Directors of BUA Group has appointed Engr. Turkur Mohammed Lawal as the Director, Health, Community, Safety and Environment.
His appointment is effective September 1, 2022 and will discharge his new role at the Group’s office in Lagos.
A statement signed by the Group Head, Human Resources, Dotun Adako, said that Lawal has over three decades in the manufacturing industry with emphasis in process engineering, production, health safety and environment management.
Prior to joining BUA, he was the Senior General manager, Environment and Community Affairs at Dangote Cement Plc.
Engr. Lawal holds a Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering and a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Ahmadu Bello University. He is presently doing his PhD at the University of Port Harcourt.
He has authored 11 books on Environment, Health, Safety, history and ethics. He is also a registered engineer with the Council of Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
Amongst other professional bodies he belongs to include, the Nigerian Society of Engineers and the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers.
