Olive, botanically known as Olea europaea, which means ‘European olive’ in Latin, is a species of small tree or shrub in the family Oleaceae, found basically in the Mediterranean Basin. They are prominent for their distinct taste and as a culinary ingredient.

Olives are highly nutritious with numerous health benefits. They rich sources of antioxidant. Olives are high in powerful antioxidants that help protect against damage from free radicals.

Olives are sources of healthy fats and natural compounds including oleic acid and polyphenols, which improve heart health and reduce the risk of heart disease. They are a natural source of fibre. Fibre supports healthy digestion and can help prevent constipation.

Olives are rich in natural anti-inflammatory compounds that can reduce inflammation throughout the body. They have high amount of vitamin E, which is an essential vitamins for the skin health. They are also rich source of calcium, which is vital for maintaining strong bones and teeth.

Olives is rich in different types of natural compounds that have been found to show anti-cancer properties, reducing the risk of various cancers. They are great for the brain health. They contain healthy fats, which are essential for healthy brain function and development.

The healthy fats, anti-oxidants and oleic acids in Olives help to reduce cholesterol levels and improve overall heart health. It contains significant quantities of vitamin A and vitamin E, which are essential for maintaining healthy eyesight.

Olives are low calories foods with high fibre content which makes them a good addition to any weight loss program. They have been used for centuries as a natural remedy for many health conditions, and their consumption has been linked to increased longevity.
