World Environment Day: Eco Africa calls for joint effort to tackle waste

Mrs. Dorothy Ukemezia, Founder of Eco-Green Africa has called for collective action to tackle Environmental challenges and keep the environment clean.
 
Dorothy made the call on Saturday during a sensitization at Jabi lake in Abuja, as part of an effort to commemorate the World Environment Day
 
 “Eco green Africa has partnered with the Federal Ministry of Environment being our mother ministry to commemorate this event.
 
“The theme of this year’s event is ” Only One Earth”which focuses on living sustainably in harmony with nature.
 
“We have involved schools like Kingsville college, civilsocieties  and individuals across climate to make the environment clean.
 
” Our actions matter a lot when we litter the environment it will come back to us.
 
“When you burn generator without tree planting you will be the one to feel the heat.
 
” The theme has made us understand that we need collective action, and transformative unity when it comes to tackling the environmental situation.
 
 “The theme also calls for action on a global scale to celebrate, protect and restore our planet, and homes from the effect of climate change.
 
” In our Ministry of Environment, we started the waste segregation, recycling program we have extended it to schools.
 
“We are encouraging everybody to keep the environment clean your actual matters a lot when you are later the environment is caused are to you. are you your bond generators or you don’t plant trees. You are the one that will feel the heat.” She said.
 
Green Africa was founded by ministry of environment staff and it has extended globally to different countries as well as ministries.
