The Senate has ordered the Minister of Aviation to halt everything bordering on demolition and other issues within the sector until its intervention.
This was according to a motion raised on Tuesday in Abuja during plenary sessions by Senator Abiodun Christine Olujimi, representing Ekiti South senatorial district.
The motion read, on all the interwoven issues which had been lingering overtime, the warning strike, demolition of the residences of the departments under aviation, the NAMA, FAAN and the fire equipment that was procured for aviation.
The Senate felt the strike and the warning strike, would be an opportunity and a window to step in and see how best it could resolve the issues before things would go out of hand.

According to Olujimi, the strikes have affected the aviation body and that most times flights have been cancelled.
She further stressed that all of these had implications on the economic value which had been depreciated.
She said, “The security implications are heightened and we felt at this level, there is a need for us to exercise a bit of caution so that we can look at all the issues and be able to resolve some of the issues that have lingered for more than eight years.
“The issue of the conditional the release of the reviewed condition of service, for instance, has lingered for very long. We felt the minister needed to come to the National Assembly for us to pull out our intellect and bring together the warring factions and see how this can be resolved for the benefit of all majorities.”
