After the resolution of a prolonged dispute, OPL 245 is now set for full development for Nigeria’s shared prosperity, according to the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, NUPRC.
NUPRC disclosed this in a statement on Friday, revealing that one of the assets carved out of the legacy OPL 245 is Zabazaba (PML 103).
It said: “The Field Development Plan (FDP) for Zabazaba field operated by Eni is premised on a 150,000 BOPD capacity FPSO processing facility centrally positioned with respect to the overall subsea configuration of the field with a total of 22 wells planned in 2 phases.”
The commission revealed that the proposed FDP for Zabazaba “will recover 320 MMSTB and 391 BSCF of oil and associated gas respectively from 15 reservoirs with 15 new oil producer wells and 7 water injection wells for a period of 20 years at a CAPEX of US$7.3 Billion.”
