By Ojugbele Omotunde

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced plans to conduct critical maintenance work on the 132kV Akure Osogbo transmission line, causing a two-month power outage in Ondo and Ekiti states.

This was made public online on Sunday.

TCN has announced that affected states will experience nine-hour daily power outages from July 1 to August 31 due to critical maintenance work on the 132kV Akure Osogbo transmission line, which includes the installation of Optical Ground Wire.

The company assures that the work necessitates outages for safe working conditions and apologizes for the inconvenience while urging affected customers be patient and understanding.
