Green Buildings will protect our planet from destruction – Yusuf Taiwo

The Managing Director of Leptons Multi Concepts Ltd, Mr Yusuf Taiwo has called for sustainable measures in combating climate change and global warming, saying Green buildings are one of the ways to save planet earth from destruction and protect the environment.
He was speaking recently at the Groundbreaking ceremony of a shopping mall with 64 shops facility in the heart of the business community of Ogba in Lagos State by Leptons multiconcept, a real estate development company in Nigeria.
According to him, Green buildings are structures that are designed, constructed and operated in a way that minimizes the negative impacts on the environment and maximizes the benefits for people and the planet. Some of the benefits of green buildings are: They reduce carbon emissions by using sustainable materials and deriving their energy from natural sources.

They lower maintenance costs, energy consumption and water bills for each occupant. They protect and enhance existing natural spaces and ecology. They improve the quality of life and productivity of people who live and work in them by providing better indoor environment, health, comfort and safety. They increase the value and marketability of the properties.
Speaking exclusively to NatureNews, Mr Taiwo said, Leptons is known for its sustainable buildings.” We put the Environment first. We are also known for providing luxury at affordable price.”
“Everyone knows that Ogba is a business district and from our studies of the place. We have come to understand that more shopping facilities need to be made available here to the people. Which is while we are providing 64 shops that will fill the need and also contribute positively to the environment. We are providing a building that will be certified green in structure and design. The building will be getting SIG Certification. We are doing what other developers don’t do. Everyone claims to be doing Sustainability but we are Sustainability itself and we are putting our money where our mouth is.”
“As we know global warming is real, which means that humanity is destroying the planet earth gradually unless we do something about it. As a company we do care about the environment and the planet which is why we have opted for Green buildings. Furthermore, the energy that will be used here will be renewable energy. Our intention is to sell these shops to willing buyers and we allow a payment plan of 12 months, with a 30 percent down payments.” He said.
“Our company is a full fledged real estate development and construction company. We do contract building logistics all over the country. We do commercial residential real estate. We have residential buildings at Lekki, Igbo-efon, and Abuja and other places.” He said.
