General Motors and Al-Mansour Automotive have officially introduced two fully electric Chevrolet models to Egypt’s automotive market for the first time.
The launch brings the all-new Chevrolet Captiva EV and the Chevrolet Spark EUV to Egyptian consumers seeking cleaner and more efficient mobility options.
The move represents a significant milestone in the partnership between GM and Al-Mansour Automotive, Chevrolet’s exclusive distributor in Egypt.
It also aligns with Egypt’s national vision to promote sustainable transport, green mobility, and reduced carbon emissions.
Industry observers say the introduction of these models reflects growing momentum behind electric vehicle adoption in the country.
Mansour Group described the launch as part of its long-term strategy to support Egypt’s clean energy agenda.
The group said it aims to strengthen the local automotive sector through continued investment and access to advanced technologies.
By expanding electric vehicle options, the initiative is expected to improve competitiveness within Egypt’s automotive market.
Consumers are also expected to benefit from more practical and affordable electric mobility solutions.
The Captiva EV and Spark EUV are positioned within Chevrolet’s practical electric vehicle segment.
Both models combine modern styling, efficient performance, and driving ranges designed for daily urban and suburban use.
The Chevrolet Spark EUV is targeted at younger drivers seeking a compact and modern electric car.
It is positioned as a value-driven model offering competitive features within its category.
The all-new Chevrolet Captiva EV, on the other hand, is designed as a family-oriented electric SUV.
It offers a range of technology, safety, and comfort features aimed at meeting the needs of modern households.
GM and Al-Mansour Automotive emphasized that customer confidence is central to their electric mobility strategy.
Both vehicles come with extensive warranty coverage to reassure buyers making the transition to electric cars.
This includes an eight-year or 160,000-kilometre warranty on the battery systems.
The vehicles are also covered by a five-year or 150,000-kilometre general vehicle warranty.
In addition, customers receive three years of roadside assistance across the country.
These services are supported by a nationwide dealer network and a 24-hour customer service centre.
Sharon Nishi, Chair and Managing Director of General Motors Egypt and Africa, described the launch as a pivotal moment for GM.
She said the move supports GM’s global vision of zero crashes, zero emissions, and zero congestion.
Nishi highlighted GM’s long-standing presence in the region and Chevrolet’s decades-long leadership in the Egyptian market.
She noted that the company is building on this legacy by accelerating electric mobility tailored to local needs.
According to Nishi, the partnership with Al-Mansour Automotive reinforces Egypt’s role in shaping a cleaner automotive future.
Ankush Arora, CEO of Al-Mansour Automotive, said the launch marks a strategic step toward wider electric vehicle adoption.
He reaffirmed the group’s commitment to long-term investment in Egypt’s economy and automotive industry.
Arora described electric vehicles as the beginning of a new phase in market development and competitiveness.
He added that the transition supports Egypt’s broader direction toward clean energy and green transformation.
Company officials expressed confidence in the Egyptian market’s readiness to embrace modern automotive technologies.
The introduction of the Captiva EV and Spark EUV signals a growing shift toward sustainable mobility in Egypt.
