By Bisola Adeyemo

An abandoned bush burning in Kwara state has spread to a warehouse and destroyed multi-million naira of property, said to belong to an Ibadan, Oyo State-based waste recycling company.

The spokesman of Kwara State Fire Service, Hassan Adekunle, who confirmed the incident, stated that the fire stated at about 3:25am, Tuesday, and the prompt intervention of men of the State Fire Service saved another store in the area from being burnt, leadership gathered.

“There were two stores in the vicinity in which one had already been engulfed by the fire even before the arrival of the firemen.

“However, firemen were able to cut out the spread of the raging fire and saved the other storehouse from the ravaging inferno,” Adekunle added.
