@BBC says while this is so, it isn’t entirely true. The narrator said this can also be referred to as a planet parade because the planets are not necessarily aligned but are all on the side of Earth’s sun.

@asstrozen said all planets can be seen in the sky except Neptune and Uranus that needs a telescope. Pluto, however will not be visible at all.

@Strombickphotography showed a video he captured in his backyard yesterday, the 25th, of the planet parade.

@ACCUWeather said it’ll be visible for the rest of the month.

@Shazandbros had visuals from India.

The January planetary alignment of 2025 is indeed real. This rare celestial event occurred around January 21, 2025, where six planets – Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, Venus, and Saturn – aligned in the evening sky, just after sunset. Four of these planets (Mars, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn) were easily visible to the naked eye, while Uranus and Neptune required binoculars or a telescope to spot.
This alignment wasn’t limited to a single day, though – it was visible for several days before and after January 21. The ideal viewing date varied depending on your location, with some cities like Tokyo and New York having optimal viewing conditions on January 22.
Another is set to happen again in February 28, 2025.
Verdict: True. The January 2025 planet parade is real.
