A new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) retrofitting center has been launched in Lagos on Monday by MBH Power Limited.
The center, located in Ikorodu, offers CNG conversion services for both three and four fuel vehicles, enabling them to use natural gas as a cleaner and cheaper fuel for transportation.
The Managing Director of MBH Power Limited, Bagu Mukhi, said the launch was part of the company’s vision to create a greener and more sustainable future.
He said CNG was a viable solution for Lagos and other states with fast-growing urban populations, as it could meet their energy demands while reducing environmental pollution.

He added that the Ikorodu facility was strategically located to serve both domestic and industrial customers in the surrounding areas.
He also announced that the company planned to open four more centers and CNG filling stations by the end of 2024.
The representative of the Presidential CNG Initiative (PCNGi), Mrs Taiwo Fashipe, commended MBH Power Limited for its contribution to the gas initiative.
She said the new CNG facility, modern station and conversion center demonstrated the increasing adoption of CNG by Nigerians.
She reiterated the PCNGi’s goal to promote a cleaner and healthier environment through the use of CNG-powered vehicles.
