China establishes agricultural training facility in FCT

The Chinese government has completed an agricultural demonstration Centre in Abuja in order to assist Nigerians in producing agricultural goods that would fulfil international export requirements, the demonstration centre will also act as a training facility.
Nigeria’s agricultural production is still in danger from a variety of issues, including crime and the effects of climate change. In order to do this, it is crucial to find a long-lasting solution for increasing agricultural productivity.
The centre, constructed by the Chinese government, is anticipated to assist Nigeria in reducing food insecurity as well as boosting foreign earnings through the sale of produce.
The demonstration centre has an impact on every step of the value chain for agricultural products, including mechanisation, seedling quality, technology use, information, and research.
This should assist in lowering the number of agricultural exports from Nigeria that overseas markets reject.
Officials from the Ministry of Agriculture of Nigeria visited the location and were given assurances by the Chinese Ambassador that the facility will be managed in the best possible way to help local farmers master contemporary agricultural production technology and be long-lasting.
The approximately $6 million project, which began in 2013, is a donation to the Nigerian government to improve relations between China and Nigeria.
