Cassava production strengthening economy in Kano communities

In Makoda local government area, cassava production is getting boost across the communities, where at least every household is having a large portion of land fully occupied by the crop systematically planted.
Nature News visited some sites where the large portion of cassava were planted as one of the economically driven crops that is being transported to various destinations for home or industrial production in bakeries.
Malam Idris Umar Galoru who had an interview with NatureNews disclosed that ” In Kano state, Makoda local government area is one of the top cassava producing zones where trucks load of the commodity are being taken for exportation to other locations in Nigeria and neighbouring countries”.
He called on the Kano State government to bring out more projects that would multiply cassava production at both local government areas because it is one of the best economically grown crop not only for food consumption.
In his remark Malam Shu’aibu Babbar Ruga assured that if well managed, cassava growing could become a good source of revenue to the governments especially at present when the researchers revealed that cassava production is a profitable occupation that restored economy fast.
