Wike Set to Inaugurate Africa’s Largest Water Park in Abuja

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has announced plans to inaugurate what is being touted as Africa’s largest water park in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The revelation came during a courtesy visit on Wednesday by a delegation from Sunrise Estate Developers and the Nadeem Group, who presented an official invitation to the commissioning event scheduled for March.
Expressing gratitude to the developers for their investment in the FCT, Minister Wike highlighted the significance of the Sunrise Water Park in addressing the commercial and economic needs of the territory while also providing employment opportunities for the youth.
Emphasizing the importance of tax compliance, Minister Wike urged the group to ensure timely payment of taxes, underscoring the critical role of tax revenue in funding developmental projects within the FCT.
He commended the developers for their commitment to Abuja’s development and expressed readiness to foster a conducive environment for investors.
Addressing the delegation, George Tolofari, head of the delegation and special adviser to the CEO of Sunrise Estate Developers, outlined the purpose of the visit as informing the Minister about the upcoming commissioning of the Water Park.
Tolofari congratulated Minister Wike on his appointment and expressed confidence in the Administration’s support towards making Abuja a world-class capital city.
The delegation’s visit underscores the anticipation surrounding the inauguration of Africa’s largest water park and reflects the collaborative efforts between the private sector and government authorities to enhance the city’s infrastructure and recreational offerings.
