The new General Manager of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency is Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, a former Special Assistant to Prof. Akin Abayomi, the Lagos State Commissioner for Health.
The agency made the announcement of his appointment on Monday via X, also known as Twitter.
Dr. Dolapo Fasawe, the agency’s departing general manager, will be replaced by Ajayi. The announcement adds, “The Lagos State Government has selected Dr. Babatunde Ajayi as the new General Manager of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency. Dr. Ajayi is a renowned physician and worldwide health specialist.
“Dr. Ajayi was the previous Special Assistant to the Lagos State Commissioner for Health. He was a dynamic medical professional and seasoned administrator.
He also oversaw a number of programs and projects that helped Lagos State’s health outcomes.
He will take over for Dr. Dolapo Fasawe, a seasoned administrator and environmentalist who has been given a more important position at the Federal Capital Territory.
