Yobe To Plant 40 Million Trees in Five Years

In an effort to stop desertification and soil degradation, the Yobe State Government has announced that 40 million different seedlings will be planted over the course of five years.
The Yobe State Government has announced that 40 million different seedlings will be planted over the course of five years to fight erosion, desertification, and soil degradation throughout the state’s 17 LGAs,
The African Development Bank (AfDB) would provide funding for the project, according to Governor Mai Mala Buni.
The state government would start a large-scale seed production programme to create roadside plants, landscape, revive, and maintain a 300-hectare gum Arabic plantation.
