WaterAid Nigeria has called for increased investment in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) infrastructure.
The call, coinciding with International Women’s Day celebrations themed, “Investing in Women: Accelerating Development,” resonates with WaterAid’s mission to enhance women’s rights and dignity through improved WASH access.
Evelyn Mere, the Country Director of WaterAid, highlighted the critical link between WASH facilities and the advancement of women’s rights.
The organization has been at the forefront of designing female-friendly toilets in collaboration with government agencies, ensuring that women’s unique needs are addressed.
