UNILAG at 60: Alumni Association, Zenith Bank to commission Ibidapo-Obe building on Friday

As part of the activities to mark the 60th anniversary of the University of Lagos, UNILAG Alumni Association will, on Friday, November 25, commission the ultra-modern alumni building named after distinguished Prof. Oyewusi Ibidapo-Obe, former Vice-Chancellor of the university.
In a press statement, Chairman of the 60th Anniversary Organising Committee and 1st Vice President of the Alumni Association, Dr. (Chief) Fassy A. O. Yusuf said the iconic building donated by Zenith Bank will be commissioned by a distinguished alumnus and Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Emmanuel Udom.
He said the event will be graced by other dignitaties including the Pro-Chancellor of the university, Senator (Dr.) Lanre Tejuoso, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola and Chairman of Zenith Bank, Mr. Jim Ovia while the chief host is the President of the UNILAG Alumni Association, Dr. John Momoh.
The event will also be attended by past Vice Chancellors of the University including Prof. Rahman Bello and Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe as well as past Presidents of the Alumni Association.
The multi-storey Prof. Oyewusi Ibidapo-Obe building which is located along Tafawa Balewa Way in the Akoka main campus of the university will house the best state-of-the-art Branch of Zenith Bank beside the Head Office branch.
