Two weeks after the outbreak of the worst fires in Turkey for more than a decade, nearly all blazes finally appeared to be under control on Tuesday.
Only one fire in the south-western Turkish province of Mugla was still yet to be contained, according to official reports.
In Mugla, a combination of heat and strong winds had continued to hamper fire-fighting efforts.

Since the end of July, more than 200 fires have broken out across Turkey, affecting about half of the country’s 81 provinces.

The fires caused particularly grave damages to the coastal provinces of Antalya and Mugla.
In Mugla alone, more than 66,000 hectares of land has burnt, according to local authorities.
Nationwide an estimated total of about 150,000 hectares of land (1,500 square kilometres) has been destroyed.
The causes of the wildfires remained under investigation.
