Tinubu offers 2-months free ride on Abuja Light Rail

In commemoration of his first year anniverssary in office as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu has offered residents and visitors to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), a two months free ride services to passengers who patronize the about to be inaugurated Abuja Light Rail system next Monday.
The Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike made the announcement yesterda in Abuja at a ministerial press briefing on one year inoffice of President Tinubu.
During the press briefing, Wike said President Tinubu will on Monday, inaugurate the much awaited Abuja Light Rail system which would start commercial services the following day, Tuesday.
The minister said, ”For those who are saying the rail system had already been commissioned, don’t make a mistake. What was earlier commissioned was the building. What we want to commission on Monday is commercial operations.
”If you’re going to the Airport, from here to the Airport is 20 minutes. Seeing is believing. Go on Tuesday, we are going to allow for free rides for two months. You know Mr.President, he can even say extend it to six months just to reduce the pains of our people. That is a renewed hope agenda. When you say somethin, you do it.”
