Groundnut also known as peanut is a legume grown basically for it’s edible seeds. It is grown majorly in the tropics and subtropics and belongs to the family Fabaceae. They can be consumed raw, boiled, roasted or even fried and can be used in soups. 

Groundnut contain all the 20 amino acids that  boost the immune system. Groundnut are used in the production of peanut butter, peanut oil, peanut flour and protein powder.

Groundnuts are rich in fatty acids and antioxidants that protects the skin from damages and skin infections. Vitamin C in groundnuts helps in the production of Collagen which improves the elasticity of the skin. 

Groundnuts contain healthy fats. They are equally rich with protein, fibre, magnesium, folate, thiamine and  Vitamin B6 which are necessary for heart health. Groundnut contains Resveratol which has antioxidants, anti-inflammatory and anti-thrombotic properties.
