Reps member tasks FG as erosion threatens Imo community
By Salifu Faridat
Hon. Philip Agbese, Deputy Spokesman of the House of Representatives, has recently urges the Federal Government to address the challenges faced by the people of Ideato in Imo State. And hope for swift action and support for the community.
Agbese’s plea comes in response to a concerning video shared by his fellow representative, Hon. Ikenga Ikeagwuonu Ugochinyere, who represents Ideato North/South federal constituency in Imo State.
The viral video highlights a flooded erosion site in Ugochinyere’s constituency, emphasizing the lack of government presence and assistance. Let’s hope that their calls for help are heard and that swift action is taken to address the situation.
Agbese expressed deep concern over the distressing, disheartening, and regrettable reports emerging from Ideato. He praised Ugochinyere as a true patriot, stating that his impassioned plea stemmed from a sense of frustration, devotion, and care for his constituents.
Agbese, the representative for Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo federal constituency in Benue State, emphasized the importance of equal rights and opportunities for all Nigerians, regardless of their religious or tribal backgrounds. Let’s hope that these calls for equality and fairness resonate and lead to positive change for everyone in our country.
Agbese highlighted the long-standing neglect of the people of Ideato by previous administrations, resulting in their enduring hardships, fears, and suffering. He strongly urged the Federal Government to take bold and decisive actions to improve the lives of these individuals.
Agbese also expressed his support for Ugochinyere, the courageous chairman of the House Committee on Petroleum (Downstream), for his unwavering commitment to advocating for his constituents. It is crucial that we pay attention to the concerns raised by Hon. Ugochinyere and work towards positive change for the people of Ideato.
Ugochinyere has always been a strong advocate for his people and all Nigerians. His unwavering commitment and continuous pleas are driven by his deep patriotism and passion.
The current state of affairs in Ideato is truly distressing and alarming, with prevalent insecurity and a lack of government presence. I join Agbese in urging the Federal Government, under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, to swiftly address the concerns and prioritize the well-being of the people in Ideato. Let’s hope that their voices are heard and that necessary actions are taken promptly.
