Renewed hope cities: FG plans 6000 housing units across six zones
*Nasarawa Gov sets pace, issues C of O for 24.6 hectares in Karu

The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, on Tuesday, disclosed that 1000 units of Renew Hope Cities would be constructed per site in one location in each of the six geo-political zone of the country.
The minister made the statement during the handing over of the Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) and Approval of Grant of 24.6 hectares of land released for the construction of Nasarawa State Renewed Hope City Project by Governor Abdullahi Sule, at the minister’s office, Abuja.
According to the minister, the Renew Hope Estates will be cited in 30 States with a minimum of 500 housing units.
He said the contract for the construction of 250 housing units in Nasawa State have been awarded noting that with the C of O of the land and the Approval Grant in the custody of the ministry, the contractor will move to the site in less than a week.
Earlier, Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, handed over the C of O and Approval of Grant of 24.6 hectares of land released for the construction of Renewed Hope City Project in the state.
He said granting the state’s 24.6 hectres of land located in Auta-Balefi, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State for the Renewed Hope Cities and Estate project is to show the commitment of the state to efforts of the Federal Government towards providing affordable housing to Nigerians.
Governor Sule noted that the chosen site for the housing project is now one of the most visited council area in the country.
He said the local government has grown rapidly in terms of population and development.
His words: ”We are very excited to be presenting this C of O and Approval of Grant to you, and I decided to come and give it to you in person to show my appreciation for all you’re doing in the housing sector in Nigeria.”
