Reactions trail killing of dolphin in Rivers State

Some Nigerians have reactef to the killing of a dolphin at Oyorokoto fishingpoint settlement in Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State.

This is not the first time, that fishermen from this LGA have made huge catches.

Some Nigerians on Facebook displayed displeasure over the killing of the animal.

Alfred Jay Norton wrote: “Dolphins aren’t part aquatic animals to be hunted at all, it’s should be punishable by law.”

Umar Isah Umar wrote: “Dolphins is an endanger specie, not sustaining it through conservation is wrong, such unsustainable hunting of endanger species will bring its to extinction.”

Meanwhile, some celebrated the death.

“Ahhhh dolphin don miss road Nigerians are hungry even if mummy water turn fish dey will eat it,” Gabriel Onesi wrote.

Recently, an elephant was recently spotted in Andoni.
