NN, SIFAX Deepen Collaboration to Bolster Maritime Security

The Nigerian Navy’s Western Naval Command has reiterated its commitment to strengthening partnership with SIFAX Group, to enhance the security of Nigeria’s coastal and maritime environment.

This reaffirmation was made by the Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) of the Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral Michael Gregory Oamen, during his courtesy call on the management of SIFAX Group.

Rear Admiral Oamen expressed the Navy’s appreciation for the steadfast support it has continued to receive from the company over the years.

He described the maintenance of a safe and secure maritime domain as a constitutional duty of the Navy to boost both economic activities and national security.

However, he acknowledged that this task cannot be achieved by the military alone and requires the collective efforts of both public and private sector stakeholders.

On her part, the Coordinating Director of SIFAX Group, Mrs. Wunmi Eniola-Jegede, underscored the enduring relationship and mutual respect that has existed between SIFAX Group and the Nigerian Navy.

She highlighted the company’s role as a key stakeholder in the maritime industry and its commitment to providing a safe and collaborative environment for all players, including security agencies.
