Nepal seeks consultant to monitor renewable energy systems

By Abdullahi Lukman

Nepal’s Alternative Energy Promotion Centre (AEPC) has invited expressions of interest from consultants to support the monitoring and quality assurance of installed renewable energy systems across the country.

The selected consultant will be responsible for monitoring and verifying about 1,100 renewable energy installations, including solar home systems and domestic biogas plants, primarily in rural areas.

The work will involve field inspections of randomly selected systems across seven provinces: Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudur Paschim.

AEPC, which operates under the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, said the assignment will be funded by the government of Nepal as part of its ongoing support for renewable energy technologies.

Interested and eligible consultants can obtain further details from AEPC and must submit their expressions of interest electronically by Jan. 14, 2026.
