NEITI Calls For National Agenda On Energy Transition

The Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI), has called on the federal government to convoke a public discourse on Energy Transition.

NEITI Executive Secretary, Dr. Orji Ogbonanya made the call through a post on the verified X handle of agency last weekend.

He said the discourse should have in participation, both state and non-state actors, including stakeholders of the extractive industry.

“For us in NEITI, it is the right time to

table Energy Transition as a national agenda for public discussion and debate.

“These would require active involvement of state and non-state actors such as government, extractive industry, the private sector, civil society, the media and we the practitioners”. Dr. Orji noted.
