According to a statement released by the newspaper’s Chief Operating Officer, Pius Alabi, the nomination period will close on September 4, 2022.

The HEAD awards, which were introduced in 2021, are a testament to NatureNews’ commitment to recognizing outstanding individuals and organizations that have demonstrated exceptional dedication and innovation in the realm of climate change mitigation and sustainable environmental practices.

Mr. Alabi emphasized that these coveted awards will be presented in three distinct categories: individual, private sector, and public sector.

According to him, in line with the newspaper’s inclusive ethos, NatureNews actively encourages the nomination of women and young innovators who have been at the forefront of environmental solutions.
