The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), B-Zonal, is set to host its 13th annual symposium, themed: “Transforming Devastated Macro-Environment for Sustainable Economy.”
The popular youth event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the Akure Town Hall, Akure, Ondo State, starting at 10 am.
The symposium, featuring the presentation of two papers, seeks to address critical economic and socio-ethical issues impacting Nigeria’s development and propose strategies for achieving a sustainable economy.
The first paper on, “revamping the distorted macro-environment: the challenges of the governed and government,” will be presented by Professor Abdurouf Sanya Ogunsakin of the department of economics, Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti.
The discussion will focus on the obstacles facing both citizens and the government in revitalizing the country’s economic framework.
The second presentation by Barrister Musibau Adetunji, SAN, of Musibau Adetunji & Co, on the topic, “the dynamics of socio-ethical issues in the reformation of Nigeria’s economy,” will explore the ethical dimensions of economic reform and the role they play in achieving sustainable development.
The one day symposium is being convened by Dr. Moshood Kolawole (Asqalani), Amir of MSSN B-Zone, as the chief host while Ustadh Luqman Keulere, Amir of MSSN Ondo Area Unit, is the host for the symposium.
The Public Relations Officer of MSSN Ondo Area Unit, Lawal Mus’ab Olayinka, said the event is open to the public for full participation.
According to him, this open symposium invites public participation to foster dialogue and share insights on transforming Nigeria’s macroeconomic environment.
He said interested attendees are encouraged to join at the Akure Town Hall to engage with experts and contribute to discussions on sustainable economic practices in Nigeria.
