LEADERSHIP ALIGNMENT QUOTIENTS VIA BEHAVIORAL STRETCHES….Complements to excellent lifestyle and workplace productivity…
By James Komolafe, PhD
The Message
Balancing your personal alignment is not an end in itself but a means to an end. The end is that your assignments achieve the full import and result. The stretches are all geared towards reaching your desired goals for relevance as you affect people everywhere you go –either to the right or the left.
Any alignment that posits the annulment of the benefits of the people is not worth it. For example, as leaders, you must not breakdown just because you want to secure the breakthroughs of others! Hear this, every alignment is precedent before an assignment any day…..So hit the ground running, create the intervention and solve problems…even the holy book supports this…..“Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited”
21 fundamental laws of personal alignment for lifestyle, service enlargement and optimal delivery
This is the theatrical analysis of a man driving a car from one destination to another. These 21 ways among others are fundamental complements to service alignment on the leadership drive…… Observe them rightly as a native…
1. Drive with caution setting your emotional mirrors on the right and the left and the central inner mirror…. as a driver of many lives in your car of service across border lines; your freedom must not derail others. Be discreet!
2. Ensure that you constantly fuel up! Energy on 4 lanes is critical: spiritual, mental, emotional & physical energy. Build rounded without lopsidedness!
3. Check your brakes… hand and foot; know when to apply the brakes in your vibrational moments of joy and otherwise. Don’t overdo or get carried away by the outcomes of leadership, rather….be in charge!
4. Make sure your lights are intact…. You must not give the wrong signals at each leadership bend. Confusing people should be out of it. To be clearly understood, communicate lucidly and wisely!
5. How about your mental hydraulic oil and emotional brake fluid? Reduce noise and undue pressure on your personal metabolism. Lubricate your strategies and personal system through the right diet. Stop eating into late nights and get the fluid and the freshness through water therapy and balance diet!
6. How about your social shocks absorbers? Many people on the journey of leadership with you would create undue potholes in the pathways for others. Develop absorbers for criticism & strive. Forgive so freely on the rugged and rough roads to destiny delivery
7. How about the relationship spark plugs and the critical nozzles? Incoherence does no one any good in the leadership alignment journey. Change old plugs of ideas and standards that burn your leadership energy unduly. It could look good but has no grace in it!
8. What about your spiritual engine oil? What must you pour out for a brand new one? Don’t hold back on urine of bad habits of people, their excesses when pressed and condoning with bread of compromise will harm the work and the people. Wee them out!
9. How about water in your physical Radiator? Water therapy is good early morning and at some other times daily. Lubricate your leadership style with the lime of kindness, early show of mercy and warm water of peaceful co-existence among all
10. Is your mental and emotional leadership gearbox selecting well? Personal confusion causes delay and denial. Power drive your life in the direction of your goals and the mandate. Put the right people in the right assignment and support to develop the people’s competence
11. Is your physical seat belt working well? What is keeping you glued to your leadership seat even when you appear to be burning out? Be firm on your life and the leadership steering. Don’t give the driver’s seat to another. Be yourself and build on yourself. You can delegate without giving away!
12. Your alignment could be okay but how about some emotional red lights on your mental and physical dashboards? Heed your triggers and obey all impulses without blink. When you are tired on the journey of leadership, retreat and rest awhile; never make it a habit to burn more energy than you are building!
13. Is your emotional speedometer working well? Are you trying to hustle beyond your personal stretch protocols? Avoid energy overdraft! It is not good for you. Over speeding on the journey of leadership could cause weariness and emotional drag. The impact on you and the people you lead is undue vacuums of violation and deviation in the journey
14. How about your spiritual exhaust pipe? Are they blocked when you are supposed to be refreshed as you let go the waste? What are you doing with the fumes of anger? How do you handle the waste of oil due to character leakages and career misfit in the House?
15. How often do you check your relationship tyres? Are your habits wearing out and inflicting pains on your co-travellers? An emotional outburst can cause disaster. Keep your mentality in check in the motion of leadership. When your tyres of certain systems and shared values are wearing out, please change them immediately. Never manage a worn out tyre of hate, rejection and sadness created around you in the course of leadership

16. Do you throttle beyond limits in your attempt to ignite a cogent leadership decision? Don’t put all energy out just because of a looming decision. Be tactful. Remember, emotional intelligence is not a gift of the Spirit; it is an art you can learn!
17. How about your mental booth straps? Do you overload your mind instead of keeping a daily-to-do – list? Keep your refreshing in place as you put up a daily diary. Get rid of old information of personal defamation, propaganda and ignore by men you serve! Such memories leave you in a state of inactivity during certain opportunities.
18. Some people are in the habit of carrying overload? How often do you engage in energy overdraft? Burn less energy than you build; energy conservation is the hallmark of every 21st century leaders.
19. Be careful to watch other commuters ahead of you? A sudden brake you apply can impact on your emotional balance…so, avoid too close attachment to people.. Shun material “bumper to bumper” driving. Others may, but you cannot as one in critical leadership. You are positioned as a role model and not the rude mode!
20. Pedestrian crossing is a part of life, watch carefully before negotiating a bend in your deliberations. Don’t collide with another trying to cross ahead of you. Give them their chance and the right of way; watch their excesses without wasting them on the highway of leadership.
21. Obey all your emotional traffic rules; don’t break your protocols, watch your rituals, keep your power habits intact as you nourish your lanes of energy!
