The Lagos State Wastewater Management Office has sealed a public toilet on Savage Street, Ebute Metta, for allegedly pumping raw sewage into a public drain.
The Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, said the action followed the deliberate discharge of untreated waste, which caused offensive odour and posed health risks to residents.
He warned that acts of environmental pollution would attract sanctions and possible prosecution, urging residents to adopt proper wastewater management practices.
