Lagos commence digital market training for 150 women

The Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation has commenced a two-day digital marketing training for 150 small-scale business owners as part of its effort to enhance entrepreneurial viability amongst women in the state.
The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Mrs. Bolaji Dada, while speaking at the flag-off ceremony held at the Women Development Centre, Agege, said that the essence of the training was to ensure an improvement in the growth of digital entrepreneurship which will offers value for businesses at a reduced expenditure.
NAN reports that the Commissioner who was represented by Mrs. Oluyemi Kalesanwo, the Permanent Secretary of ministry identified the need for digital entrepreneurial practices that could wield Marketing automation, build brand awareness and induce cost savings, which the initiative offers.
She said ” This ministry earnest interest is to see a society of young entrepreneurs who are at par with international best practices of successful business owners.
“This a resource venture that strives at women emancipation using crucial pillars for poverty alleviation, to achieve epoch developmental goals.
“Basically, it is a step to ensuring a drop in the unemployment rate towards building an economically vibrant economy.”
