Kwara Gov visits victims of Oro market inferno, condoles Oloro of Oro

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq of Kwara State has paid a condolence visit to victims of the wild inferno at Oro central market.
NatureNews had reported that more than 30 shops were razed by fire that ravaged the market on Tuesday.
The Governor was received by an ace journalist and former Commissioner of Information in the state, Alhaji Raheem Adedoyin.
The Governor’s entourage visited the Oro Central Market, the palace of the Oloro of Oro at Okerimi and the College of Education, Oro, among others.
The community leaders who spoke during the visit appreciated the governor for his concern over the sad incident.
They urged the governor to consider building better infrastructure for the community.
Alhaji Adedoyin, who thanked the Governor for the prompt visit, expressed hope that the visit will ginger the state government to swiftly give Oro Kingdom a befitting Fire Service Station.”
He further urged that a JAMB Internet Hub at the College of Education, Oro, and renovation of the Oro General Hospital should be considered.
Othe indigenes also pleaded that the government should fully rehabilitate the Iludun Oro main waterworks and the Ijomu Oro mini waterworks, adding that Oro should be provided with a standard Police Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) vehicle that will enable First Bank and Union Bank to reopen their branches and resume banking operations in Oro.
According to him, this will help to restore normalcy to life of the people and revive economy of the community.
