Kidnappers abduct poultry farm manager, farmer in Ogun State

A poultry farm manager identified as Tunde Osifowokan, and a crop farmer, Mallam Isiaka Aileru, have been abducted by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers at Idowa Community, Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State.

Osifowokan was said to be the younger brother of the poultry farm owner who identified himself as the farm manager when the gunmen invaded the farm and asked for the whereabouts of the farm owner.

Aileru was said to be a member of the Hausa community in Idowa who, on Monday, went to his farm, and he has not been seen ever since.

One of the farm workers who narrowly escaped been killed by the stray bullet of the invading gunmen, Tajudeen Afeez, narrated their encounter with the gunmen after they have left and he returned from his hiding place.

According to Afeez, the gun men arrived at the farm house and started shooting sporadically into the air and everybody around took to their heelss and scampered for safety.

He said the gun throtting invaders demanded for the owner of the poultry farm who had travelled out of Idowa Community and expected to return that day.

The younger brother of the owner of the farm, Tunde Osifowokan identified himself as the younger brother to the owner of the farm and he was seized immediately. A new twist was added to the incident when the Hausa Community in Idowa, the following day, also made it known to the larger community that they are looking for one of them, Isiaka Aileru, a farmer.

Aileru was said to have gone to his farm on Monday that Tunde Osifowokan was abducted by gunmen, and he hes not return home as of the time of filing this report. His people have traced Aileru to his farm. They found the cloth he wore when he was leaving home on Monday, but he was nowhere to be found on the farm.

The Sobaloju of Idowa, Chief Yusuf Olusanya, confirmed the poultry farm manager’s abduction. ”Yes, the incident is ture. The hoodlums, according to what I heard, came wearing masks and shooting sporadically and demanded for the owner of the poultry farm. None of the workers was the owner they were looking for. They eventully went away with the farm manager who was a younger brother to the owner of the farm.

Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu, also confirmed the abduction of the farm manager. He said the police aare deploying all its arsenal and intelligence to ensure the victim regain freedom.
